The Pattern of the Question Paper will be as follows :-

     1. Phonetic Symbols and Transcription of Words

    II. Translation of 5 simple sentences from Hindi to English from English to Hindi

   III. Translation of 5 words from Hindi to English from English to Hindi


Unit B : Grammar and usage

      I. Elements of a sentence 

      II. Transformation of Sentences

            a. Direct and Indirect Narration

             b. Active and Passive Voice 

III. Modals

IV. Tenses

IV. Punctuation of a short passage with 10 Punctuation Marks 

Unit C: Comprehension

Following Essays and Stories in Essential Language Skills revise edition compiled by Macmillan for University of Rajasthan

General English B.A./B.Com./B.Sc. Candidates will be required to answer 5 questions of two lines each to be answered out of 10 questions. There would be two questions each from the prescribed text.
